Mr. Christopher T. Rogers, also known as Chris, J.D., is a Partner at Lumia Capital. Mr. Rogers is responsible for leading Lumia’s investment and value-add activities for companies with significant exposure to mobile platforms. Mr. Rogers has served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Spectrum at Sprint Nextel Corporation where he evaluated and executed strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures within the mobile communication and e-commerce sectors. He also was responsible for management and oversight of wireless spectrum licenses and Sprint Nextel’s investment portfolio of emerging technology start-ups. Mr. Rogers served as the Senior Vice President of Global Initiatives and Spectrum Group-Nextel at Nextel Partners Inc. He served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Nextel. Prior to its merger with Sprint in 2005, Mr. Rogers was Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Nextel Communications, Inc. He was a Co-Founder of FleetCall Communications and Nextel Communications. He was the Founder and Chairman of Dispatch Communications, Inc. He has been a Member of Strategic Advisory Board at WellDoc, Inc. since September 3, 2013. He serves as a Director of PlayStar and the Wireless Board Registry. He serves as a Director of Sixgill, LLC and OmniSpeech, LLC. Mr. Rogers has been a Director at Digital Turbine, Inc. since May 06, 2012. He serves as a Director of DesignCenter360. He has been a Director of NII Holdings Inc. since June 26, 2015. He serves as the Lead Independent Director of LightSquared. Mr. Rogers served as a Director on multiple public and private company boards and as a Director for several Washington, D.C.-based philanthropic organizations. He served as a Director of Nextel Partners Inc., since July 21, 2005. Mr. Rogers is an investor in and advisor to disruptive businesses in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Rogers received a J.D. in Communications Law from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University and his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
